A kingdom is a domain ruled by a king or queen. It is a monarchy with a king or queen as the head of state. Lifestyle is the manner of living that reflects one’s values and attitude. Now kingdom lifestyle is the attributes or accepted code of manners that reflect the king or queen’s values and attitude. What is the Kingdom of God? The Kingdom of God is the dynamic rule of God which invades history in the person of Jesus Christ. In this context, kingdom refers to the Kingdom of God; the Kingdom lifestyle is the Kingdom of God lifestyle.

“Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.” (Acts 19:11–17)

The Power of Spoken Words

“Where the word of a king is, there is power; And who may say to him, “What are you doing?” (Ecclesiastes 8:4).

What is in the king must reflect on the subjects or citizens of his kingdom. If the word of a king has power, it follows that the words of his citizens must have power. But how? Let’s explore this.

Everybody speaks words. However, everyone’s words do not hold the same weight. Until you become an authority figure in a designated territory, your words

will never have an impact. How do you become an authority figure? Continue exploring. For example, a mother’s words will impact her child’s behaviour. A supervisor’s words will impact the behaviour of their employees. God’s words as a king in his kingdom must impact the citizens of his kingdom. The strength of your words is not dependent on what you say. It is dependent on the “authority you carry”.

Please note this. You do not have to hold a high position to carry a lot of authority. Your authority has very little to do with the position you hold. It is mainly predicated on the level of your significance. If you are not significant, you are not necessary; if you are not important, your words will not matter.

This concept applies to every scenario imaginable. Whether you are working at a job, running a business, leading a family, or exercising citizenship in God’s kingdom, you need to be significant.

As a Kingdom citizen, one of your goals should be to learn how to magnify your voice so King Jesus will quickly respond to your prayer request. Magnifying your voice does not mean yelling or screaming at the top of your lungs. Instead, it means to indulge yourself in the Kingdom lifestyle. As you do this God will honour every word you say and answer every prayer you ask of Him. The more you indulge in the kingdom lifestyle, the more authority God will give you. As you carry more authority, your words will carry more power!

In Matthew 28:18 Jesus told His disciples, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” That is why when Jesus spoke, people listened. Jesus spoke, demons obeyed, and diseases submitted to His voice. His words carried weight because He walked in the kingdom authority. Your words will only carry wait and bring about change when you walk in kingdom authority.

When the disciples were under the mentorship of Jesus, their words held very little weight (Matthew 17:14–16). It wasn’t until Jesus ascended back to heaven that the disciple’s words made a difference on the earth (Acts 1:8). It was in the book of Acts where the disciples walked in great authority. When the disciples indulged themselves in the Kingdom lifestyle during the mentorship of Jesus, their authority grew on the earth.

Be Immersed in Kingdom Lifestyle

(Acts 19:11–17).

Now to immerse simply means to devote yourself to something. It also means to enclose or envelop entirely in something. In this case, commit yourself fully to the kingdom lifestyle; enclose or envelope yourself completely with the kingdom lifestyle.

When the Apostle Paul transformed his life to live under the kingdom mandate, diseases submitted to the authority of his words. Evil spirits obeyed the authority of his words. Sinners changed their ways when they heard the authority of his words. The authority that the Apostle Paul walked in was very impressive. It was so impressive that people wanted to imitate his works.

The sons of a leading priest is the chief priest. The chief of the priest was known as sceva. The Seven Sons of Sceva were so impressed with the Apostle Paul’s authority that they attempted to cast out an evil spirit by borrowing the authority Jesus gave to the Apostle Paul. What they did not understand was that the Apostle Paul had indulged himself in the Kingdom lifestyle which caused King Jesus to honour every word that he said. When the Apostle Paul utilized the name of Jesus, Jesus responded to his call immediately and demons were cast out. However, when the Sons of Sceva attempted to utilize the name of Jesus, Jesus did not respond to their request. Their word had no authority. They had no kingdom authority; the demon they tried to cast out responded instead of leaving.

Note This:

When you do not indulge yourself in the kingdom lifestyle your prayers will go unanswered. To indulge here it means to yield yourself to kingdom lifestyle. Give satisfaction to living as per the kingdom dictates. When you walk in kingdom authority, King Jesus will honour every word you say. (Lamentations 3:37–38) When you walk in Kingdom authority, your prayers will be answered quickly. (Luke 18:6–8) When you walk in Kingdom authority, your words will have significant meaning to King Jesus. This is the reason why the Apostle Paul was able to do many miracles. When you do not walk in Kingdom authority, your words will not mean anything to King Jesus. This is the reason why the Sons of Sceva, the leading priest, couldn’t get results. The more you indulge yourself in the kingdom and its lifestyle, The greater authority you will have in that kingdom! The kingdom’s authority is given only to those loyal and faithful to the kingdom. Those who sacrifice their life and everything they have for the sake of the kingdom they are in and they represent.

Be Consumed

To be consumed simply means to engage fully, in other words, to engage fully in the kingdom lifestyle. Engage fully to conduct your life and affairs per the kingdom dictates. If you want to heal diseases, be consumed with the kingdom lifestyle. If you want to raise the dead, be consumed with the kingdom lifestyle. If you want King Jesus to honour every word you say, be consumed with the Kingdom lifestyle. If you want all your prayers to be answered, be consumed with the kingdom lifestyle. Be consumed with the kingdom lifestyle if you want to do miracles and receive them. If you want to benefit from supernatural prosperity, be consumed with the kingdom lifestyle. Being consumed in the kingdom lifestyle is a key and door to the supernatural happenings in your life.

Nothing can defeat you when you walk in the kingdom authority. You became more than a conqueror through Christ who loved you. (Romans 8:37). Now, walking is simply to conduct your life and affairs in a certain manner or way. Here “walk” in kingdom authority” means to conduct yourself in the manner that allows the authority of the kingdom to flow through you. This is when you become more than a conqueror in all your life, undertakings, and endeavours.
