We are made to overcome. In the book of Philippians four verse 13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens by saying about yourself what the Bible says about you. What does the Bible say about you? No matter how unsteady your life appears to be, stay steady. Look at what the Bible says in that book of First Timothy. It says, Paul warned Timothy not to take a step back. When he is sick. When he is attacked. When he is persecuted. He wants him not to take a step back. When he is sick. When he is persecuted. When he is discouraged and not take a step back.
But what has happened to you today and remember, what is good for Timothy equally good for us. It’s warning us not to take a step back when we are facing persecution. When we are facing a crisis, not to take a step back because of persecution, whatever you call it.
The beauty of our journey is when you are going and something is there to punch you. But when you are going and you are free, how will you know that the Father you’re serving is beautiful. When you sit for an examination, you read and sweat to get a promotion. How would you value the promotion when you have not read day and night in a quiet place? But when you have studied and sat for the exam you came up brilliantly. How will you value your certificate?
Would you be proud to introduce yourself as a graduate? But when you attainted your Ph.D., you are proud to introduce yourself because of what you have gone through to have that.
The beauty of our journey is when something is there to test our faith and that is the beauty of the journey. But you never knew this. Various tests that would have promoted you, you failed them because you see them as attacks from the enemy. You see them as an undeserved attack. You see them as an undeserved issue. Instead of you welcoming them and see them as a frame to move you forward. Your situations are friends to move you forward. Your challenges are friends to move you ahead. But when challenges come and do not produce a sense of depending on God you are heading to the grave. Challenges come as trouble upon trouble and you never look unto God to get out of that trouble. You will know that is the end of you. How do we know promotion is coming? When challenges come and produce a sense of depending on God, then you know you are about to be promoted.
No matter how unsteady your life appears to be, stay steady. Make this confession roadmap. I’m standing on the promise of God. I am living steadily. Working steadily. Remain steady in unsteady times. This will help you to have enough time for God.
Your rejection of me, in the beginning, drew me closer to God. If you would have accepted me in the beginning, I would have had a big problem. Your acceptance would have led to my fall and failure at the beginning of the ministry. At the beginning of the ministry, I was not mature to maintain your acceptance of me. Now, I am mature enough to maintain your acceptance of me. Time for everything. This is why I don’t fight back because God allows you to reject me from the beginning of the ministry. The rejection from the beginning of the ministry was allowed by God. Because God was building me and I was not mature enough to have influence all over the world. I needed some experience. Oh yes.
