Ephesians 4:31 (NKJV) 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.

This verse urges believers to release negative emotions and behaviours such as bitterness, anger, and slander and encourages a spirit of forgiveness, love, and kindness.

Practical application in our lives:

• Letting go of bitterness: We can apply this by forgiving those who wronged us and not holding onto grudges.
• Managing anger: We can practice patience and self-control when faced with frustrating situations.
• Avoiding slander: We can refrain from speaking negatively about others and instead focus on building them up.

Prayer points:

• Pray for the strength to release any bitterness or anger in your heart.
• Ask for wisdom to avoid gossip or slander and for the ability to speak words of encouragement and kindness.
• Seek God’s help in cultivating a spirit of forgiveness and love towards others, even those who have hurt you.
